Project Overview

Global Brigades is seeking funding to break ground on a new combined water system for Las Cañas & La Picota that will benefit over 1500 people with clean water.

Copal Arriba, Honduras

The community of Copal Arriba, in southern Honduras have two 5,000 gallon storage tanks that serve two sectors with water, one by gravity and the other sourced by a well. However there are 30 families in the community that are suffering due to a lack of access to the existing system and do not have well water readily accessible. There is a well that has been drilled in the vicinity, and could serve as potential water source for these families. The water in the existing systems is not being properly treated and the Water Council is in need of technical assistance.

Water System Solution

Global Brigades has completed an engineering design to provide clean water to the homes in Copal Arriba that do not currently have access. The community and GB are currently seeking funding for the project.
